The Higher Education Commission (HEC) invites applications from Pakistani/AJK nationals for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (2025-26), launched by the Hungarian Government for Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s, Master’s, and PhD studies. The programme is managed by HEC, Pakistan, in collaboration with Tempus Public Foundation, Hungary.

Application Requirements
- MANDATORY Submission: Applicants must submit online applications on both the Hungarian and HEC portals. Failure to apply on BOTH portals will result in rejection.
- Hungarian Portal: Apply online at https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/.
- HEC Portal: Apply at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk. After completing your profile, select “Hungarian Scholarship Program” and submit your application. Keep a copy of the submitted application form.
- HEC Aptitude Test (HAT/USAT): HEC may conduct a written test, and candidates must score at least 80% for consideration.
- Final Submission: Only applications submitted through the HEC online portal will be entertained. Recommendations made by HEC will be final and binding.
- Submitted Status: Applications marked as “SUBMITTED” will only be entertained. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure timely submission.
- Eligibility: Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
- Queries: Submit queries/issues via https://onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk.
- Study Fields: Approved study fields are available at www.hec.gov.pk/site/ARL.
- Hard Copies: Hard copies of applications or documents are not required at this stage but must be retained by the applicant for records.

HEC Aptitude Test
Education Testing Council (ETC) Pakistan will likely conduct the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) and Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT) from mid-January to mid-February 2025. For details, visit https://etc.hec.gov.pk.
Important Note
Applicants for professional degrees (e.g., Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Architecture, Law, Veterinary Medicine) must confirm the accreditation of their degree from relevant councils such as PMDC, PEC, PNC, PCATP, PBC, PVMC, PCP, etc.
