The Mehjabeen Fellowship offers a merit-based fieldwork grant for women conducting primary research in Pakistan on two key topics:
- Human-Ecology: Exploring human connectedness with priority ecosystems in Pakistan
- Music Heritage in Pakistan: Studying indigenous musical communities and practices
Each scholar can receive up to Rs 300,000, with up to five awardees each year. The fellowship is administered by the Zaman Foundation in association with the family of the late Dr. Syeda Mehjabeen Abidi Habib to honor her support for women in human-ecology research.
