Job Overview

The Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries, Government of the Punjab invites applications from suitable candidates domiciled in Punjab for contract positions under the development project titled 'Establishment of Hatchery Facilities for Intensive Culture of Pangasius and Tilapia in Punjab'.

Positions and Pay Scale (PPS-2)

• Fisheries Supervisor (PPS-2): F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with at least 2 years practical experience in fish farming, pond management, or aquaculture research.
• Driver (PPS-2): Middle pass holding a valid driving license with minimum 3 years driving experience.
• Beldar / Fisherman cum Beldar (PPS-2): Literate with practical skill in fish harvesting, pond dragging, feeding, and hatchery operations.
• Chowkidar (PPS-2): Literate, physically active, with ex-servicemen given preference.
• Sweeper (PPS-2): Literate and experienced in facility sanitation.

Eligibility and General Information

Age limit is 18 to 30 years with standard 5-year general age relaxation for male candidates and 8 years for female candidates. Appointments will be made on contract under the Punjab Contract Appointment Policy.
