Step Schools is looking for a dedicated Accounts Officer to manage financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in handling general ledger management and bank reconciliation processes. This role is vital in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by accurately recording all financial transactions and generating profit and loss reports. The Accounts Officer does not manage a team but works closely with other departments to ensure compliance and timely financial reporting.

The Accounts Officer is responsible for preparing bank reconciliations, managing cash deposits, and ensuring all financial data aligns with bank statements. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for this role. The candidate must be proficient in bookkeeping, general ledger management, and capable of producing clear and precise financial documents that support the financial health of Step Schools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger entries for all financial transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
• Prepare detailed profit and loss statements and financial reports as required.
• Manage bank cash deposits ensuring correct documentation and timely processing.
• Monitor daily financial transactions and update records to reflect current financial status.
