Designation: Assistant Manager Finance

Reports to: Head of Finance/Commercial & Company Secretary

Scope: This position is primarily responsible to maintain and update Books of Accounts in compliance with Company Policies, Companies Ordinance & International Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and financial reporting

• Preparation of monthly management reporting pack
• Preparation of financial statements and working papers for audit of Company and PF accounts
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements of Company and PF accounts

2. Cash management

• Manage cash investments of the Company
• Corresponding with the Company and PF bank as and when required
• Entering contracts in the database and notifying expiries to concerned personnel
• Preparation, forecasting and monitoring of rolling cash position of the Company
• Recommend cash optimization strategies and policies for expenditure, credit, and supplier management

3. Working Capital Management

• Management of accounts receivable function with assistance of Finance Assistant
• Management of accounts payable function with assistance of Finance Officer
• Liaison with banks, investees and financiers for achievement of Company objectives

4. Taxation and corporate affairs

• Filing of corporate returns / forms with the SECP in accordance with Companies Act 2017 and underlying rules and regulations
• File Monthly, quarterly and annual tax statements / returns with the FBR
• Depositing of Withholding Tax with Tax Authorities in accordance with Taxation Requirements/Laws

5. Financial Planning & Analysis

• Build and maintain robust financial models supporting pricing decisions, new products, investment cases, and business initiatives
• Identify variances, perform deep-dive analysis, and present insights with business impact
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including revenue, cost, cash flow, and capital expenditure planning
• Recommend corrective actions to improve profitability, efficiency, and working capital

6. General

• Maintain the Finance Department’s filing system
• Perform any other task assigned
