We are looking for a responsible and experienced Generator Operator to join our shopping mall operations for the Night Shift. The candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and ensuring the smooth performance of diesel generators and backup power systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor diesel generators during the night shift.
• Monitor generator load, voltage, current, frequency, RPM, temperature, and oil pressure.
• Check diesel fuel levels and monitor fuel consumption.
• Perform routine checks of engine oil, coolant, batteries, belts, and other essential components.
• Ensure smooth changeover between utility power and generator backup.
• Identify and report abnormal noise, smoke, overheating, vibration, or other operational issues.
• Handle basic troubleshooting and immediately report major faults to the maintenance team.
• Maintain daily generator operation and fuel logs.
• Ensure the generator room remains clean and properly maintained.
• Follow all safety procedures and operational instructions.
• Coordinate with the electrical and maintenance teams when required.
• Ensure uninterrupted backup power during the assigned shift.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Generator Operator.
• Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience operating Perkins Generators.
• Good understanding of diesel generator operation and basic electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to monitor generator parameters and identify operational problems.
• Experience in shopping malls, commercial buildings, factories, or large facilities will be preferred.
• Technical diploma/DAE or relevant vocational certification will be an advantage.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently during the night shift.
