Waresa Industry (Pvt) Limited is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager Maintenance with a strong background in mechanical engineering and at least six years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reducing equipment breakdowns, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to improve operational efficiency. This role requires a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering and involves preparing detailed maintenance reports and schedules to ensure continuous equipment reliability and optimal performance.

The Assistant Manager Maintenance will oversee a maintenance team of 19 personnel, ensuring proper supervision, effective work order management, and adherence to health and safety regulations. This position demands strong capabilities in maintenance planning, budgeting, and asset management, with a focus on reliability-centered maintenance approaches such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. The successful candidate will drive initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, minimize downtime, and manage resources efficiently while supporting the overall production goals of the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and improve reliability.
• Supervise and lead a maintenance team of 19 members, ensuring effective workload distribution and team performance.
• Prepare and manage maintenance schedules and work orders to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs within approved limits while optimizing resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities and promote a safe working environment.
• Oversee equipment troubleshooting and repair processes, ensuring quick resolution to minimize production downtime.
• Apply reliability-centered maintenance techniques, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to enhance asset management.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, generate reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance activities with overall operational goals and production schedules.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance strategies, processes, and technologies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks as required.
