Required Qualification: Appointment Against The Vacant Position Of Pakistan Chair Abroad, Allama Iqbal Visiting Fellowship Chair At Centre Of South Asian Studies, University Of Cambridge, The Ministry Of Federal Education & Professional Training, Islamabad Education/Qualification*: PhD degree from a HEC-recognized university / institution in a relevant research area in the humanities or social science. • Having an excellent record of teaching and research. • Will be at the level of Associate Professor or above. A maximum of 55 years of age on the closing date of the advertisement will be eligible Domicile Quota: Merit Job Location*: South Asian Studies, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom Test City(s): Islamabad Gender*: Male / Female Job Description/Duties: • The visiting fellow will engage with students and scholars on Pakistan’s history, culture, people, national and regional languages, eminent literary figures, geography and regional, economic and political environment in line with the academic requirements of the University. • The visiting fellow will engage with university staff in the teaching of Urdu, Pakistan Studies, Pakistani literature, history, society and culture at the University. • The visiting fellow will interact with academic community of the University with a view to positively contribute to the relations between Pakistani academic community and the University. • The visiting fellow will be encouraged to attend the weekly seminars held at the Centre of South Asian Studies during the academic year and other academic fora on relevant issues in the University. • The Visiting Fellow will engage with students and scholars of the University with a research interest in Pakistan as envisaged in the MOU. • The visiting fellow will be encouraged to work with University staff to organize and conduct conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops or Art exhibitions showcasing Pakistan’s culture;

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Having an excellent record of teaching and research.
