Job Overview

Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM), the premier industrial manufacturing enterprise of Pakistan located at Bin Qasim, Karachi, announces an employment opportunity for the position of Manager Security on a contract basis. The appointment will be made initially for a one-year period, extendable for an additional two years based on satisfactory performance and institutional requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Overall monitoring, administration, and supervision of plant-wide security operations, surveillance systems, and active patrolling across the Pakistan Steel complex.
• Handling, investigating, and resolving all security-related matters, incidents, and threat assessments.
• Managing security personnel, gate access control, vehicle inspections, and perimeter defense across Bin Qasim facilities and residential estates.
• Coordinating with local law enforcement agencies, Rangers, and district administration for integrated industrial security protocols.
• Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for emergency response, disaster management, and asset protection.

Eligibility Criteria

• Designation: Manager Security
• Military Background: Retired Army Officer holding the rank of Major, preferably Lieutenant Colonel.
• Academic Qualification: At least a Graduate degree from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
• Experience: Proven track record in handling comprehensive security issues, intelligence gathering, surveillance infrastructure, and perimeter security management.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 55 years as on the closing date of applications.

General Terms and Conditions

• Appointment will be purely on a one (1) year contract basis, extendable for another two (2) years subject to satisfactory performance.
• Remuneration and salary package shall be competitive and in accordance with the candidate's skill set and military/security experience.
• Use of any extraneous influence during the recruitment process will result in immediate disqualification.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• No TA or DA is admissible for attending the interview.
