Required Qualification: JOB DESCRIPTION OF CONSULTANT, ECONOMICS i. To develop and apply economic models to assess the impact of various policies and strategies. ii. To conduct cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making processes. iii. To provide expert advice on economic aspects of sectoral (i.e. energy) planning and policy formulation. iv. To assist in the development of strategies to promote sustainable economic growth through effective management of available resource base. v. To oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of economic data related to economic interventions in terms of policies and projects. vi. To prepare comprehensive analytical reports and present to the stakeholders. vii. To collaborate with government agencies, private sector entities, and international organizations to align economic strategies with national development goals. viii. To provide training and mentorship to junior economists and staff within the Planning Commission. ix. To promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in economic analysis and knowledge sharing practices. x. To interpret complex socio-economic data and provide actionable insights periodically. xi. To interpret complex data and provide actionable insights from time to time. xii. To carry out any other task assigned by Secretary, Member, DCPC and Minister PD&SI.
