Applications are invited for the position of Consultant (Urban Specialist) - SPPS-III based in Islamabad.

Position Details & Eligibility Criteria

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• To review global, regional, national as well as local level interventions related to resilient urban planning and development and formulate National Urban Agenda for Pakistan.
• To prepare national urban policy alongwith national urban planning guidelines after analyzing existing urban policies as well law rules, regulations at national, provincial, regional and local government level for ensuring environment friendly urban planning and development.
• To arrange discourses/workshop/seminar on urban issues in consultation with all stakeholders.
• To prepare policy brief on urban strategies for DCPC/Minister/Secretary.
• To share comments/views on development projects related to urban policies and development.
• To analyze urban issues related to spatial planning, land use, transportation, housing, and public services, identify potential improvements and areas of growth within urban spaces and recommend effective, sustainable urban planning strategies.
• To prepare comprehensive reports on urban planning activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
• To interpret complex urban data and provide actionable insights from time to time.
