Job Details

We are looking for a fashion merchandiser who is obsessed with fashion, thrifting and discovering pieces before everyone else does.

Timings: 1 PM to 9 PM

This is not a traditional merchandising role where you will be sitting with spreadsheets and planning inventory.

Your job will be to curate collections that resellers want to buy.

You will spend a large part of your day stalking vendor profiles, thrift stores and resale platforms across Vinted, Depop, eBay and other platforms, understanding what trending is, what is selling, what brands people are looking for and what pieces can be turned into collections that resellers will love.

What you will do

• Constantly research Vinted, Depop, eBay and other resale platforms to discover interesting products, brands, styles and trends.
• Build curated collections based on what you are seeing in the market.
• Identify brands, aesthetics, categories and individual pieces that you believe resellers will want to buy.
• Create collections around specific trends, aesthetics, seasons, brands and customer demand.
• Understand what makes a collection commercially attractive to a reseller not just what looks good.
• Study reseller profiles and their existing inventories to understand what they are buying, selling and missing.
• Track emerging fashion trends and identify them early.
• Help us decide what should be in our homepage and what shouldn't.
• Work with our sourcing and operations teams to turn your curation into actual inventory.
• Develop a strong point of view on what brand should be known for.
• Regularly showcase your finds, collections and fashion insights on camera through short-form content and social media.
• Be comfortable becoming the face and voice of our merchandising point of view.

What we are looking for

Ideally, you:

• Have a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Buying, Fashion Business or a related field.
• Have a genuine passion for thrifting and preloved fashion.
• Have a strong understanding of Western fashion, brands, aesthetics and trends.
• Spend time browsing platforms like Vinted, Depop and eBay because you actually enjoy discovering things there.
• Have a strong eye for styling, product selection and building collections.
• Understand the difference between something that is simply cool and something that a reseller can actually sell.
• Are naturally curious and constantly looking at what is happening in fashion.
• Can spot interesting brands and trends before they become mainstream.
• Are comfortable making decisions based on both fashion intuition and data.
• Are comfortable being in front of the camera and talking about your finds and your work.
• Can explain why a particular collection, brand or piece matters.

Key Responsibilities

The fashion merchandiser will research resale platforms to identify trends and curate commercially attractive collections for resellers. They will also collaborate with operations teams to manage inventory and create social media content to showcase their fashion insights.

Requirements and Skills

Candidates should have a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Buying, or a related field and a deep passion for thrifting and preloved fashion. Strong analytical skills, an eye for aesthetics, and comfort with being on camera are essential for this role.
