Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement and sourcing of raw materials in line with production requirements.
- Develop and manage reliable local and international supplier networks.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor raw material markets, price trends, availability, and supply risks.
- Ensure timely procurement while maintaining optimum inventory levels and minimizing supply disruption.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement cost-saving and procurement efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with approved policies, budgets, contracts, and internal controls.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in
Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce
, or a related field. - Significant senior-level experience in
raw material procurement
, preferably within thetextile/manufacturing sector
. - Strong commercial negotiation, supplier management, market intelligence, and analytical skills.
- Experience managing high-value procurement and complex supply chains will be preferred.
