Company Description MS Law is one of Pakistan’s first legal practices focused exclusively on virtual assets regulation. The firm advises founders, exchanges, fintechs, and financial institutions navigating Pakistan’s Virtual Assets Act 2026 and the Pakistan-UAE regulatory corridor. Role Description The Associate Legal Counsel will provide legal support on matters related to virtual assets, financial regulation, and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities include researching and interpreting applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents, and preparing licensing and regulatory submissions under the Virtual Assets Act 2026 and related frameworks. The role involves supporting negotiations with clients, regulators, and counterparties, as well as advising internal and external stakeholders on legal risks, compliance requirements, and structuring options.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in Law, with knowledge of financial regulation and virtual assets or willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in Contract Negotiation, including reviewing terms, identifying risks, and supporting commercial discussions.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting contracts, opinions, regulatory submissions, and internal memoranda.
• Ability to analyze complex Legal Issues and provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from an accredited institution; LL.M or specialization in financial, corporate, or technology law is an advantage.
• Admission to practice law in Pakistan (or eligibility in process) and familiarity with regulatory bodies relevant to financial and virtual asset services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Urdu is beneficial.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Comfort working in a fast-evolving regulatory environment and collaborating within a small, high-performing team.
