Job SummaryThe Business Development Associate will drive business development, sales, and revenue generation for NOWPDP’s Social Enterprise Unit, with a primary focus on the Textile Production and Wheelchair Units.
The role will be responsible for identifying new markets, generating leads, acquiring corporate and institutional clients, converting opportunities into orders, and building long-term business relationships. The position will have a strong focus on industrial/institutional apparel for textiles and bulk/institutional wheelchair orders.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new B2B, corporate, institutional, healthcare, industrial, and bulk-order opportunities.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads, prospects, proposals, negotiations, and confirmed orders.
- Generate consistent local market and industrial orders for the Textile Unit.
- Develop corporate, institutional, healthcare, and bulk orders for the Wheelchair Unit.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, product pitches, negotiations, and follow-ups.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers and convert opportunities into business.
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/revenue targets.
2. Market Development
- Identify new customer segments, industries, organizations, and geographic markets.
- Develop opportunities for recurring orders, institutional contracts, bulk procurement, and long-term supply arrangements.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and pricing.
- Represent SEU at relevant exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with textile and garment companies, corporates, hospitals, healthcare organizations, pharma companies, institutions, and other relevant buyers.
- Understand client requirements and develop appropriate product solutions with internal teams.
- Manage follow-ups across the full sales cycle, including leads, quotations, negotiations, orders, delivery, and repeat business.
- Address client concerns and gather feedback to improve products and offerings.
4. Order & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with production and operational teams on product specifications, pricing, capacity, lead times, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and confirmed orders are delivered within agreed timelines.
- Support resolution of order-related issues through closure.
5. Sales Reporting & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and updated sales pipeline, client database, quotations, orders, and follow-up records.
- Track performance against sales targets and provide regular business development reports to management.
- Maintain market intelligence to support forecasting and business planning.
Unit-Specific Focus
Textile Production Unit
- Develop the industrial and institutional apparel market.
- Build and maintain relationships with textile and garment companies.
- Generate opportunities for uniforms, workwear, institutional apparel, and other bulk textile requirements.
- Develop recurring and long-term customer relationships.
Wheelchair Unit
- Drive institutional and bulk sales of NOWPDP wheelchairs.
- Develop relationships across corporate, healthcare, institutional, and other relevant sectors.
- Identify opportunities for large-volume and recurring wheelchair orders.
- Expand the customer base beyond individual sales into institutional and bulk procurement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of proven experience in business development, B2B, corporate, or institutional sales.
- Experience in textiles, garments, medical equipment, healthcare, manufacturing, or other B2B industries preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads, convert prospects, manage a sales pipeline, and achieve targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship-management, and follow-up skills.
- Good understanding of the B2B sales cycle and client acquisition.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; CRM/sales pipeline experience is an advantage.
- Strong organization, documentation, and market research skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and deliver against targets.
- Willingness to travel within and outside Karachi as required.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth for the Social Enterprise Unit by identifying new B2B and institutional markets for textile production and wheelchair units. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and pitching to negotiation and order fulfillment.
Requirements and Skills
Requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field with 2-4 years of proven B2B or institutional sales experience. Preference is given to candidates with experience in textiles, medical equipment, or manufacturing.
